Oleh: Datia Sabela Konsep Pluralisme dan Multikulturalisme itu sendiri sudah melekat di masyarakat Indonesia. Konsep pluralisme bisa diartikan sebagai pemahaman akan kesatuan dan perbedaan, kesadaran dalam keragaman pun sangat dinilai penting sebagai bagian dari khazanah pemikiran keislaman khususnya dalam dunia pendidikan. Demikian pula dengan konsep multikulturalisme yang tidak kalah pentingnya, konsep multikulturalisme sangat memuliakan manusia karena menyetarakan semua manusia dalam perbedaan khususnya pada budaya, ras, etnis, agama, dan jenis kelamin. Dan dari kedua konsep tersebut sangat berkaitan erat dengan Pancasila pada sila ke-3 yakni Persatuan Indonesia. Sebelumnya, kita perlu mengetahui dahulu apa yang dimaksud dengan Pancasila, Pancasila adalah ideologi negara Indonesia.
